On August 10, the White Lake Public Advisory Council (PAC) sponsored a kayak tour of White Lake to visit several of the eleven shoreline habitat restoration sites and learn about the lake’s pollution history and recovery. During the event I took aerial video during the start and one of the stops. At each stop a description of the habitat restoration activities and history of the area was presented. The guides for the tour included local historian Roger Scharmer and Tanya Cabala, education and outreach coordinator for the PAC. It was obviously enjoyed by those who participated. The following video is just a sample of the day.
